From hearing his very first dance track at the tender age of 12 back in 1988, D Mob – ‘We call it Acieeed’, Bdacid, aka Mark Rayworth, became addicted to rave and dance music, especially to the acid sound. Then came the breakbeats and jungle, which is when he bought his first set of decks, and his addiction to vinyl started, resulting in him spending every last penny he earned on his vinyl habit.

As dance music itself progressed through the 90’s, Mark was drawn to the harder sounds of Dutch gabber and speedcore, whilst still loving the never ending indulgence of the TB303 as he travelled up and down the U.K. to al the megaraves that were on everywhere in those days.

Then in the late 90’s Doomcore appeared which gripped him immediately with its slow yet menacing kicks and dark atmosphere. During this time he started to play at events like Vortex in Blackpool, Rebellion in Rhyl and at the Hardcore Crossbreed launch party in London, plus other random events which he travelled to, always ending up in carnage.

2017 seen him start up his own doom / industrial hardcore label ‘Demonic Wavs’ which has since featured many amazing artists including Low Entropy, Doom HK and Fifth Era. Alongside releasing his own material on his barbaric label, Bdacid also seen his music appearing on bonkers hard labels such as ‘Doomcore Records’, ‘Dark Impact’ and ‘Extreme Is Everything’, to name but a few.

As Bdacid, Mark has had residencies at Hard Sound Radio and has started a residency with his show “The Dark Arts” on Toxic Sickness Radio as well as doing one off shows on the likes of Fnoob Techno Radio and of course the RIOT Radio Show, which is where his love of hard, heavy, dark n’ nasty techno comes from and what you’ll get with an additional heavy dose of dirty acid thrown in.

For the future, watch this space, because hardcore, techno and doomcore runs through Bdacid’s blood and he has no plans of stopping until his own personal Dementor comes for his soul.
