Paul Langley

Paul started DJing in 1985 playing Hip-Hop & Soul. In 1988 he was taking part in the UK DMC mixing championships. By 1992 / 93 he got seriously into Techno after going to a Lost party in London, a major turning point for him musically. This led to him co-running a weekly club night Iconelastic in London’s Leicester Square and a weekly radio show on London’s infamous Chillin FM 102.9.

In 1997, after hearing a mix tape of his, DJ Rush got him a gig at Berlin’s Love Parade and various other gigs in Germany. The same year Paul invested in buying pieces of studio equipment to make noise himself. The following year seen his 1st ever material released on DJ Rush’s Kne’Deep label and since then a constant stream of over 35 releases on amazing labels such as Predicaments, Tonewrecker & Audio Textures to name a few.

Since 2001 Paul’s been running his own label Jackstar Recordings because he knew there was a need for a new edge to that Chicago hard funk music. So he contacted DJ Bam Bam, they put together the 1st release and the label’s gone from strength to strength with wicked artists like DJ Rush, Sandy Warez, DJ MH, Jamie Bissmire & himself along with many others. His DJing skills are in constant demand, playing at the biggest festivals and clubs all over the world, recently touring Europe with Frank Kvitta, Boris S, DJ Bold and Patrick DSP.

Paul has releases coming out very soon on Cause, Potential and his very own Jackstar Recordings label along with some awesome remix projects in the pipeline. Busy, Busy, Busy.
