RRR006. CCC at the controls of two uncompromising and downright maddening techno pounders. First up Ravensburg with a single tone, staggering, wavering and leading the listener right through the track like the distorted echoes of the morse code of a tormented, terrorised spacecraft hurtling through time. All the while accompanied by a solid drum loop with ever changing percussion patterns. Bloody brilliant. Subhead rearranging the track next finding an almost orchestral bass synth as the pulse alongside the monotone distress call. Stacatto, then wobbling, pulsing and all the time driven on by 4/4 then broken beats towards the end. Heavy SubHEED journey becoming acidic then distorted then like distant radio signals leaving for the future. Corupt next, a wibbling, wobbling techno monster making its’ way through the circuit boards of hells machines. Howling for mercy as they are battered by a chugging tempo. Hard and unsettling. Finally, the Portugeuse techno master funk craftsmen DJ ZeMigL picks up the Corupt baton. An acidic pulse with the solid 4/4 he does best only this time tinges it with acid and techno funk. Percussion loops skipping through the bum wiggling body bouncing acid line. You can feel the knobs burning as they are twiddled. He brings his own Portojackin’ sounds and rhythms to everything he touches, bringing bouyancy and good feeling. An outstanding release with 4 very different tracks to suit the mood on the dancefloor.
